HORSE BOARDING

Broomhill Farms has a tack room and spacious box stalls (10 x 12) for both permanent boarders and for temporary summer boarders (May – October) who are looking for, arguably, Muskoka’s best Destination Riding, or a cozy barn to winter their horse.

Whether you are a trail rider, or on the show circuit, Broomhill can accommodate your horse: a full size outdoor arena with sand footing, miles of scenic trails, some with lake views and all horse friendly, starting right at the barn door. Broomhill added all new fencing in 2004 to provide individual paddock turnout or group pasture turnout.

So whether you live locally, or staying at your favourite Muskoka resort, keep your horse(s) conveniently close by at a working farm that dates back to 1868, just twenty minutes from the beautiful Algonquin Park.

Rates can include box stall, daily turnout, and agreed-upon feed program, use of arena and trains. Discounts for multiple horses; additional services available e.g. shoeing, blanketing, etc

Horses are grass fed in season, and our own hay in winter – a mixture of Trefoil, Clover, Timothy and Brome, stored in our coverall.
